Remembrance of My Mother, Fran Beer

Abstract

A daughter’s remembrance of Frances Fitzgerald Beer (October 30, 1940 –April 7, 2022), who was a devoted scholar at York University. She joined the board of Canadian Woman Studies at its inception in 1978 and served as book review editor, special edition editor, and contributor over more than four decades. She helped launch Innana Publications, where she served as an editor and published her book, Pilgrims in Love (2004).

Hommage d’une fille à Frances Fitzgerald Beer (30 octobre 1940 – 7 avril 2022), chercheure dévouée à l’Université York. Membre du conseil d’administration de la revue Canadian Woman Studies dès sa création en 1978, elle y a œuvré comme rédactrice de comptes rendus de livres, rédactrice de numéros spéciaux et collaboratrice pendant plus de quarante ans. Elle a contribué au lancement des Éditions Innana, où elle a travaillé comme éditrice et publié son ouvrage, Pilgrims in Love (2004).
