Abstract

This article is drawn from a speech on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025. Rematriation is defined and its importance grounded in the current moment. Relationality, at the centre of matriarchal, matricultural, and matrifocal values, is demonstrated through mutual care, collaboration, cooperation, and deep kinship with the living world.
